Bergé y Cia was founded in Bilbao in 1870 as the office of vessel consignees and stevedores. It extended its activity during the 20th century throughout Spain, opening offices in the main Spanish ports.
Starting in 1979, he began to diversify his business by importing industrial equipment and starting the distribution of automobiles. This process of expanding his business has caused him to have a presence in areas such as finance, logistics and new technologies that constitute an important challenge for the future.
It is one of the main Spanish business groups. With a wide international projection, it is present, among others, in sectors such as maritime and port, automobile distribution, logistics, renewable energies and finance.
